Two composers are pitted against each other in the Austrian court of Emporer Joseph II – the official composer Antonio Salieri and the more talented prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salieri is torn between abhorring Mozart’s abrasive personality and adoring his ingenious music. This rivalry plays out a loosely historical retelling of the life of one of the world’s most recognizable composers.
