The ancient Chinese sport of dragon boating catapults an unlikely crew of cancer survivors into a new way of being. Redefining the word ‘sick’ and re-framing the meaning of their diagnosis, these fractured individuals transform into a single force of power and beauty. Wrapped in a sport that is a feast for the senses, this film of nail-biting competition and intimate revelations challenges traditional medical thinking; revealing a path to wellness that holds hope for all survivors.

This film gives us a window into the world of dragon boating; the strength, camaraderie and hope that participation on such a team creates. In this case, a team of men and women—all survivors of various forms of cancer—support and encourage each other to accomplish way more than any of them thought was previously possible. Along the way, they forge deep, lasting friendships.

This film contains mature themes due to the nature of cancer and the realities of illness and death.
