Father Edward J. Flanagan believes there is “no such thing as a bad boy.” With this philosophy in mind, he forms Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska, a home for indigent and delinquent boys. He is saddled with a motley crew of offenders, the worst of whom is Whitey Marsh. Unable to raise funds for his home through traditional channels, Flanagan finds support in the everyday working man, the very people who have faith in his cause and his ability to change these incorrigible youths into upright adults.
