Dumbstruck focuses on five ventriloquists: Dylan, Kim, Dan, Terry and Wilma. With its heart firmly planted on its polyester sleeve, Dumbstruck takes the American dream sideways and never loses its way. The film traverses America and cruises the Mexican Riviera, Bahamas and Japan. The stories culminate at the next year’s annual convention, after Terry becomes the most successful ventriloquist of all time, and visits his brethren ventriloquists for the first time.
