Fred and Lilly are a divorced, bickering pair of actors who are brought together by Cole Porter for his musical version of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew.” The couple seem to act a great deal like the characters they play; a fight on the opening night threatens the production. Complicating matters are two thugs who mistakenly believe that Fred owes their boss money.
Kiss Me Kate played at the 2004 Heartland Film Festival in the Truly Moving Musicals Sidebar.
