When their five year old son is diagnosed with a rare degenerative disorder, Agusto and Michaela Odone seek out treatment options. The rarity of the disease, however, means that treatments don’t exist. Unwilling to accept the inevitability of Lorenzo’s fate, they tirelessly study biochemistry and the medical history of the disease, seeking out a cure of their own.
