Mother of Mine is an epic story of a small person’s plight in the midst of the warring world. More than 70,000 children were evacuated from Finland to Sweden during the Second World War (the Finnish-Russian War 1939-1940). Mother of Mine is the first film ever made on the individual fate of one of these children – the story of a boy who has two mothers, but at the same time has none. The story is loosely based on Heikki Hietamies’s novel by the same title.
Finnish and Swedish with English subtitles.
