In 2002, twenty-two Palestinian and Israeli teenage girls traveled to the U.S. to participate in a Summer women’s leadership program. My So-Called Enemy is about six of the girls and how the transformative experience of knowing their ‘enemies’ as human beings meets with the realities of their lives at home in the Middle East over the next seven years. We see in the film that creating relationships across borders is a first step towards resolving conflict.
Partially in Arabic with English subtitles.
