Nathan and the Luthier, tells the story of a 35-year-old man who returns home to small town Indiana after his father’s death and discovers the broken pieces of his boyhood violin in the basement. Determined to fix the instrument and perhaps recapture a piece of his childhood, Nathan takes the violin to a reclusive luthier named Alexander, a bitter man who suffers from a crippling loss of his own. Matters are complicated for Nathan by his mother Melissa, who struggles to reclaim her identity. As Nathan must ultimately discover, there are some things that can be fixed and some things that can’t.
