While bike messenger Phillipe Nash dreams of racing bikes, he also has a hard time committing to anything in his life, let alone a sport that demands pain, suffering and hours of training. When Nash loses his job and his apartment on the same day that he unexpectedly confronts his ex-girlfriend, he turns to his childhood friend, Jack. Jack knows that Nash needs a kick in the pants to pick up his life. Jack and the ex-girlfriend, Kate, both challenge Nash to commit to bike racing. As Nash pulls his life together with his friend’s support, a tragic turn of events challenges his ability to remain committed and he instead runs away from everyone. He unwittingly starts a painful and often humorous journey towards growing up.
