Inspired by a real-life condition, Shade is the fictional story of Laura, a woman who has lived with a debilitating genetic defect that prevents her from ever seeing the sun. After living under the protection of darkness for 30 years, one sunny afternoon Laura makes a choice that could cost her life. Written, directed by and starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley (Father of the Bride, ABC’s According to Jim), co-starring Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy) and including all original music composed by country musician, Brad Paisley.
