It was the dawn of the ‘70s In Houston, Texas, where a full-fledged funk powerhouse would be born at a black high school called Kashmere. Conrad ‘Prof’ Johnson would turn his school’s mediocre jazz band into an international phenomenon. And now, 30 years later, former band members dust off their instruments and prepare to pay tribute to the man who changed their lives long ago.
