In an effort to tap into his original talent, a wheelchair-bound author moves to a rural town, where he befriends a single mother and her three kids, who help reignite his passion for writing.
The Truly Moving Picture Award jury reacted to how pleasant the film was through its atmosphere and characters. Watching Morgan Freeman’s character of Monte adapt to the kindness around his summer home was very satisfying for our jury. Especially the way Monte served as a mentor to young Finnegan to teach her about the power of imagination and storytelling. This is a perfect summer movie to watch with together with the family.
